Safety Is Our Primary Focus
Powder Cats has over 25 years of experience in snow safety. We employ very experienced backcountry ski guides, snow safety professionals and snowcat operators. You can count on us to keep your safety as our top priority.
All guides are members of the National Ski Patrol and have Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) certifications. Our annual staff training is broad ranging and thorough. We train for medical response and backcountry rescue so that we are prepared in the unfortunate event of an accident. Communication, group management, snowcat safety and guiding techniques are some of our primary training objectives.
Powder Cats is fortunate to have incredibly skilled snowcat operators. You can trust our expert drivers to deliver you to the top! Our snowcats are outfitted with emergency and mountain rescue equipment if you need assistance to the bottom.
We also employ the full-time expertise of our snow safety team. They are on point delivering our daily weather and avalanche forecast, checking snow stability and monitoring the slopes for any avalanche activity.
Our professional cat skiing guides are not only highly trained, they bring a wealth of knowledge and mountain experience. They have the skills to guide you and your group across thousands of acres of amazing terrain.
We take your safety seriously at Powder Cats.
